People who love the natural spring water from our artesian springs in Eldorado Springs, Colorado, sometimes express a concern to us. They’ll ask, “Do springs run out of water?” They would hate to have to go without our pure water with its award-winning taste.

Hydrologists will tell you that there are many types of springs with many types of flows, from almost imperceptible seeps to natural springs that produce hundreds of millions of gallons every day. There are also what scientists call ephemeral springs. That means they start and stop flowing based on climate conditions.

But we’re happy to report that because of its source, the Eldorado Natural Spring Water will keep flowing for the foreseeable future!

Why Our Springs Won’t Run Dry

We generally abide by the advice that you should “never say never.” However, in this case, we’ll make an exception.

There’s a reason we know that our natural springs here in Colorado will continue to produce delicious, refreshing water. That same reason reassures us that after we complete renovations on the Eldorado Swimming Pool, it will continue to be a wonderful, family-friendly adventure.

Why are we so confident? Because of the location of our water supply. When people are considering their drinking water options, we encourage them to seek the source.

Eldorado Natural Spring Water comes from a natural aquifer 8,000 feet underground. Springs in many other places around the country are much shallower, and therefore much more affected by climate conditions. But our source is far below the surface, where it collects rain and snow that gets naturally filtered by layers of sandstone as it makes its way down.

It takes 6,000 years for the water that fell as snow and rain in the mountains behind Eldorado canyon to cycle through the aquifer and surface at the spring. The aquifer's age also gives us confidence that nothing about its structure or flow rate is likely to change in our lifetimes (or that of our children, grandchildren, etc.).

Our water source is literally set in stone!

Drink Up!

The bottom line is that you can enjoy our natural spring water without worry about our springs drying up. And given the superior quality of water from our natural springs, there are multiple meanings when we say, “Drink up!”

Proper hydration is essential to good health. But for many people, tap water simply doesn’t make for an enjoyable drink. That’s why they arrange for us to deliver incredible natural, mineral-rich refreshment to them regularly so they never run out.

Other “natural spring waters”? They may or may not actually be from springs. But if they are, they almost certainly are not from the same type of pristine source as our water.

We’re grateful to be the stewards of this unique water source and proud to provide natural spring water that isn’t tampered with in any way. We get it from its cool, subterranean source to you efficiently and with very little human intervention. The only way we could do it more “naturally” would be to develop a 6,000-foot-long straw!

So, enjoy! It’s our pleasure to be the bearers of nature’s gift to you.
